MY VIEWS ON THE WEB 2 TRAINING

Today is the 3rd day in the training and I am very happy to be part of it.
The training has been very participatory and practically oriented.
It has also brought together Professionals from diverse fields to also network.
On the first day of the training , there was an opening Session and a group photograph was taken.
Participants were introduced to web 2.0 and social media, developing a social media strategy and micro-blogging using Twitter.
The 2nd day was dedicated to blogging with blogger.
Participants were taught how to create a blog and publish articles.
We were also introduced to tools to measure impact.
Today is the the 3rd day in the training and we are going to be learning about remote collaboration using Wikis and Google.
We will also learn how to share photos using Flickr.
A lot of new vocabulary has also been learnt.
Its been good so far. A lot of knowledge and skills have been acquired which will help me in my work at the office.

IMPORTANCE OF TREES

Trees apart from their socioeconomic importance play a significant role is capturing carbon from the atmosphere through photosynthesis.

During photosynthesis, six molecules of water is combined with six molecules of carbon dioxide to produce a single molecule of a simple carbohydrate glucose. Simultaneously six molecules of oxygen is given off. 

When a tree is felled, the role it plays in carbon capturing and storage is lost.
Because of this very important  role trees play, our forests need to be managed sustainably.
